Motorists in Moray are being urged to take extra care over the next few weeks as roads in the area undergo surface dressing as part of Moray Council’s annual road maintenance programme.
Heavy plant and machinery have been on site of the new Edgar Road extension in Elgin. The extension will form the access road to the proposed new Elgin High School. The road works will take approximately 13 weeks and create the new access for both Greenwards Primary and the new secondary school.
Despite government wrangle over EU funding rules for the High School project, Moray Council will commence work on access roads on Monday. This will minimise delays once the wrangle has been resolved.
