Scotland's biggest flood alleviation scheme in Elgin reaches practical completion.

The misery of flooding will be a thing of the past for most of Elgin’s homes and businesses following practical completion of the £86million flood alleviation scheme. The final piece of engineering, a footbridge over the River Lossie, was formally opened today (Tuesday). All that remains is landscaping and ancillary works.
