Former journalist in local and national print media, now heading up a small but perfectly formed communications team in Moray Council. Always impressed when people understand local government.
This landslip occurred on the 1st September 2015, since when the road has been closed. Work did not start until Monday 7th September 2015 to repair. Due for completion 11th September 2015. That would be 11 days that a Priority One road has been closed with a diversion adding 40+ miles to each journey to Forres. With the very heavy deforestation of that area resulting in very heavy hgv useage, and the ever increasing heavy traffic from wind turbines, is it a possibility that will this may now occur more frequently and if so are steps being put in place to prevent such occurances?
